President & CEO

Nate Hartman has over 25 years of experience working in the Information Technology industry. Starting with building database applications and later website development, Nate started a successful design firm in San Francisco. From there, he moved back to corporate America joining SolarNet, a division of ITOCHU Corp. of Japan as the IT Director. For nearly a decade, he developed and managed the company’s network with a highly praised design for creative open source architecture. Today Nate has moved back into an entrepreneurial role founding SFG.NET the Security and Forensics Group, an eFingerprint.com company. Nate brings his decades of IT Security focus to bear in this venture. During his years as IT Director, Nate successfully designed and managed the company WAN, and was lead technical project manager of a tier-1 Oracle ERP implementation. Nate is a prolific speaker on IT Security and Forensics. Recently, Nate received the highest award for achievement at the Dale Carnegie Course on Human Relations for success in business.

Client Objective: To make highly sensitive data available online through a secure Internet tunnel (VPN).

Visa corp. has very strict regulations and security requirements for their database project. They needed a team of experts that could work with their IT department to architect a system that would be robust enough to handle their functional needs, as well as comply with their tight security requirements. Client objective: SAP implementation for Golden Bear Travel (a wholly-owned subsidiary of American Express Travel).
The company was running an outdated Novell topology. In addition to planning, designing and implementing the conversion to SAP, we also developed their website portal and various custom web services and security tools.

PCI Compliant eCommerce Website
Client objective: To implement a secure credit card authorization system for the company website.
The site needed to have hi-impact, generation X graphics on the front end and complete e-commerce functionality on the back end. SFG delivered a credit card authorizing system protected with 128bit RSA transaction security. Additionally, the site features software for matching riders based on their individual profile with the correct snowboard for them to purchase.
